Section 380 (1) of the Criminal Code In Canada: Everyone who by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, wheather or not it is a false pretence within the meaning of the act, defrauds the public or any person, whether ascertained or not, of any property, money or any service, is guilty of an indictable offence.

If you believe that you are a victim of a scam, you may have lost significant amounts of money and in some cases your good name. Proving a fraud actually happened can be complicated, the evidence you gather on your own may not be admissable in a court of law.

Over the years some of us have worked on several fraud cases in Quebec helping clients by gathering the evidence necessary in building a file which can then be presented to their attorney, or the local authorities (Police).

When hiring a Private Investigator they will work on your case as quickly as possible without any disruption. Often Police Investigators are overloaded with files, and may take some time before they eben begin looking into your case. It is always important to file a complaint with your local Police Department, first and foremost with reference to the scam you believe you are a victim of.
